The sixth SPPEXA Doctoral Retreat will be held in Wuppertal from 17th to 21th of September 2018, organized by Matthias Bolten (ExaStencils) and Bruno Lang (ESSEX-II).

The focus of the retreat is numerical linear algebra and performance optimization.

As lecturers, we managed to get:

• Pieter Ghysels (Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory)
• Bart Vandereycken (University of Geneva)
• Georg Hager (FAU Erlangen)

Additionally, former PhD students who are now working in industry report on their experiences.
